@JP & Mala Celebrating Wife Day is really nice as there may be few wives who need that one day to feel appreciated but have you thought about celebrating a Spouse Day in general for both husband and wife to appreciate each other?? There are also husbands who need to be appreciated :)
I feel the viradhams apply more to the older generation and many husbands do appreciate their wives even if they don't necessarily fast for their wives' well-being. I do appreciate what you are doing as I personally feel some couples would benefit greatly from your program and wish they could attend it next year. It is just a suggestion to consider celebrating Spouse Day in the future as I feel many couples can benefit from that too
I would rather Sheil become a teacher so that I can go fishing OR go catch a Kili - Kili is just for Sri ;)
Though we call this day as " Wife appreciation day ", it is actually a " Spouse day " only. All the sppeches, discussions, etc are about Husband - Wife relationship only. During the end of the program, all wives use to take oath - " என்னை வாழ்க்கைத்துணைவியாக ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு வாழ்வில் உயர்த்தியமைக்கு நன்றி.!
Hi Mala Good to hear from you. I remember having this discussion in Trichy. I guess it is Spouse Day but called Wife Appreciation Day to make women feel important and happy :)

Sundar...don't forget that my teacher's salary will be just enough to buy bait for your fishing :))
