The new 10 Rupee coin

Last weekend I had the look at the new 10 rupee coin released by Reserve bank of India. First I found it awkward to be called as a coin when it was more looking like two pieces of metal joined together.Came to know its bimetalic type of coin ,maybe the 1st kind minted in India.

One good thing about coins is that they have lifetime more than notes but seeing this 10 rs coins makes me wonder whether the rupee value is going down further, when people will make 10rs the base for all transactions. Now all people will have money but they have to shell out a lot to get things for them. Our government should take care to prevent further fall of rupee and we should not come to situation where our govenment is going to mint 100rs and 1000rs coins.

Movie I saw..

Today I saw Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid,a movie which was taken in late 60 s. It was about two robbers specialised in robbing trains. They plan to escape to Bolivia when government intensifies the search to find them.
This movie was suggested by my friend, last time when we saw it together I slept off in the middle. This time I just wanted to complete the whole movie since I dont like things unfinished. One thing I liked in the movie was the song in the middle of the movie which reminded me of Indian movies. I have attached the video version of the song which I got in you tube.

Long bike journey(long enough for me) !!!

Today had a long bike journey ,ride was not to a tourist spot or a pilgrimage but rather to my office. Since I had small work to do in office and wanted to return soon I thought I will take my bike there. After coming to Chennai this is the first time I m taking my bike to office. I thought my office is around 30kms,today I found it is exactly 36kms from my home. Its was pretty long drive but the roads are excellent which made the journey pleasent.
It took me an hour to reach office one way , which made me to think aboubt Cochin days where office is just 10 mins drive and I usually go there whatever time when I like to and come back whenever I want to. Good old days !!!

A question from a survey !

I was reading few blogs today ,in one of those Paul Iske, head of KM at ABN AMRO has sent a questionnaire to all staff including the following question(which interested me)

· What proportion of your talent, ideas and experience are used in your job?

I said just put as 30% , when I looked at the survey results more than 90% percent of the people have put their talents used as less than 20% .

maybe the nature of job or the kind of people you work with, may stop you from exploring the talents but its more about your attitude which can bring in the best!

My security audit experience !

Today we had security audit at our office. Morning i cleaned my desk which I never used to bother ,throw ed lots of stuffs into the bin. Then checked whether I cleaned up all the useful stuffs which I saved up in my system :)
I never realised when the auditor came .I was talking with my colleague who is few meters away when I was called by the auditor ,it was too late before I realised I forgot to lock my system while I left. Then I was given a long lecture about the importance of locking the system when I leave the desk.Consequences which might happen if I don't, he opened my mail box and typed a mail to my lead with a subject that I m resigning from the company. After asking apologies and hearing few more minutes of advises he changed to subject as I forgot to lock the system before I leave!wheww got escaped !!!
After this incident even when I am turning to pick my telephone I am locking my system.

The book I read

The name is rajinikanth by Gayathri Sreekanth. When this book was released last year I was curious to read it,finally I got a copy of it last week.
It was a good attempt to portray the life of a great actor, needs courage to write about his early troubled life keeping in mind not to hurt his fans. When we start reading this book we get to know charisma he still has in Tamil Nadu. His public speeches ,news he made in politics during 1996 are well written, when whatever Raniji did became the news of the state.

There are some parts well written about the friendship he had with Bahadur. We can learn what is real friendship which makes his friend a true real life hero. One can achieve success by making sacrifices in his life, here we find a person who makes sacrifices for the success of his fried.
May be I was not a ardent fan of Rajini before reading this book but after reading it I have become his fan for his simplicity.
